This park offers many facilities for outdoor sports and family recreation. There are tennis, volleyball and baseball fields. A reception room, a skate park and children’s playground are also accessible. This beautiful green area overlooking the Bayou Teche will allow everyone to enjoy the pleasures of nature. Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site explores the cultural interplay among the diverse peoples along the famed Bayou Teche. Acadians and Creoles, Indians and Africans. Frenchmen and Spaniards, slaves and free people of color-all contributed to the historical tradition of cultural diversity in the Teche region.

The city of St. Martinville has a second park with two other baseball fields a football zone, and basketball courts. This site can also host receptions in a large equipment room. Families will also be featured with a children’s play area, and great BBQ facilities.
