SECTION R105 PERMITS

R105.1 Permits are Required. Any owner or owner’s authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by this code, or to cause any such work to be performed, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit.

  • 2020 National Electrical Code (NEC)

Construction or Renovation Projects

Before any construction or renovations occur:

  • Contact the Planning and Zoning department at ochatman@stmartinville.net or call 337-394-2230.
  • Contact the inspector’s office at 337-886-6069 to obtain any required permits.
  • Fees double for any work performed within the city limits without proper permits.
